The geoSilica supplement from Geosilica contains pure geothermal silica, which is produced from the byproduct (separated geothermal water) of Hellisheidi Geothermal Power Plant in Iceland. It is naturally produced with no added chemicals.
The effect of silica on the body
Silica is a source of silicon. Silicon is an essential mineral that strengthens the connective tissues in our body, which can give us stronger bones, ligaments, cartilage, veins and skin. As a result, it can reduce the risk of injuries amongst athletes and may lower the risk of osteoporosis.

Why is it in plastic?
The bottles are made from food grade polyethylene plastic and it is guaranteed that it can't possibly color the contents. Plastic was chosen because it is both lighter and more practical than glass for example.
What is the color of the liquid?
The silica product is a colloidal suspension, i.e., a suspension of extremely small silica particles in water. The color of such suspensions can appear different in different lighting conditions. White light that is transmitted through the liquid appears orange and reflected light can appear bluish because the blue component of light is scattered more easily. This effect is called the Tyndall effect. The intensity of scattered light depends on the fourth power of the frequency, so blue light is scattered much more strongly than red light.
